Peter Pan Review
This year’s traditional Worthing Pantomime , The Pantomime Adventures of Peter Pan, is a great value for money family show which will delight all age groups.
The production of the JM Barrie classic tale feels somewhat tighter and scaled back to previous years, yet more relevant to the 21st century with CGI and moving backdrop scenes , which allows the talented cast to really shine and get more involved with the audience which of course is where the fun. magic and family memories really start.
Patrick Monahan as Captain Hook is perfect and shows his true stand up, ad-lib comedic skills in his interaction with the audience and Richard ‘Dick’ McCourt is a popular, enthusiastic Smee, his bumbling sidekick. Colourful costumes, great singing and stage presence from Amelia Lily as Tiger Lily and Lloyd Daniels as Peter Pan gives the Panto a youthful energy . The Dame, Able Mabel, had the audience eating out of her hands and was not too over the top for the young ones to relate to.
The flying is delightful with wonderful scenery effects transporting the audience to Neverland and Tinkerbell’s presence throughout the show will make us all believe in fairies.
