UNDER 25’S TRY
THEATRE AMBASSADOR SCHEME LAUNCHED
Eastbourne Theatres are delighted to be extending their successful ‘Try Theatre’ ambassador scheme to include younger theatre goers. They want to hear from theatre enthusiasts 16 – 25 years old who would like to become an ambassador, writing reviews and spreading the word about the shows coming to Eastbourne.
The scheme applies to the Devonshire Park Theatre, Winter Garden and Congress Theatre and by becoming an ambassador you will receive free tickets for a selection of shows at the venues, plus be invited to exclusive events.
Starting in September 2015 a selected few under 25 ambassadors will join the existing Try Theatre ambassadors to review the autumn season at Eastbourne Theatres.
Shows already announced for autumn include the
extraordinary rock-opera Jesus Christ Superstar (7 -12 September),
a sizzling new stage adaption of The Great Gatsby (8 – 12 September),
feel-good entertainment with The Full Monty (5 – 10 October)
and the West End phenomenon Jersey Boys (24 November – 5 December),
plus of course Eastbourne’s biggest pantomime the swashbuckling Peter Pan (11 December 2015 – 17 January 2016)!
It is hoped that by recruiting younger ambassadors to the scheme they will aid Eastbourne Theatres shows to further extend their audience reach and also raise awareness of targeted programmes for youth theatre-goers, such as the current under 25s ticket incentive.
Initially run for the 2014 spring season, demand for the under 25’s ticket incentive at the Devonshire Park Theatre was so strong it has now been rolled out permanently. Anyone under the age of 25, regardless of whether they are in full or part-time education or not, can purchase a ticket for just £10, which is a saving of over 50%!
