Taken into Midnight

a play by Thomas Babe

The young and beautiful Annie sits waiting in a basement on the eve of her wedding. Surrounded by female family members, with no chance of escape, it’s not long before feelings, frustrations, and closely guarded secrets begin to emerge.

Annie’s sister, Andy, is forced to reassess her family’s relationships on every level. The sisters’ mother and aunt attempt to provide pearls of wisdom to guide the girls on their chosen paths, but instead discover surprising revelations of their own. A feisty, down-on-her-luck wedding singer completes the party, poking at this buzzing beehive of dysfunction, in turn forcing Annie and the rest of the women to question whether the lives they have chosen are the lives they really want.

RoL’n Productions invite you to sit tight for a ride filled with tension, laughter, surprise, and most importantly truth, as a lost family begins the difficult journey towards finding itself.

Taken In Marriage will be directed by Lucy Atkinson, whose most recent engagement is as Assistant Director on Les Enfants Terribles production of Alice’s Adventures Underground at The Vaults.
