NEW SUMMER SEASON ANNOUNCED

The new season is here! The Hawth’s Summer line-up has just been announced, and it’s packed full of fantastic shows for everyone to enjoy in the coming months.

There’s music to suit all tastes, with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra performing An Afternoon at The Opera and world-class violinist Nigel Kennedy set to delight fans of classical music with Virtuoso. The Carlton Main Frickley Colliery Band will be bringing the best in brass band music, plus there are tributes to everyone’s favourite artists, including the music of George Michael (Perfectly George), Barry Manilow (Copacabana Magic), Neil Diamond (Sweet Caroline), Taylor Swift (Taylormania) and Take That (The Take That Experience).

Tickets are already selling fast for the queen bee of musicals – Mean Girls! Winner of Best New Musical (WhatsOnStage Awards) and direct from the West End, expect iconic characters, razor-sharp wit, and killer songs. There is incredible dance to look forward to from many of your Strictly Come Dancing favourites. Amy Dowden MBE and Carlos Gu perform together in Reborn, celebrating the sheer joy of dance. Kai Widdrington oozes charm and talent with an abundance of on-stage charisma in Kai: Evolution and Ore Oduba and Joanne Clifton reunite for 10 – Champions Reignited, full of songs, stories and dance with a cast of professional dancers and a full live band. Plus, Emerald Storm comes to The Hawth for one night only – If Riverdance and Stomp had a baby, it would be Emerald Storm! From the first beat to the last, it’s an immersive, unforgettable celebration of rhythm, energy and sheer talent

As always, The Hawth have the very best in comedy with An Evening with The In Betweeners’ Joe Thomas, the legendary Stewart Lee performing his new show, Stewart Lee vs The Man-Wulf and Lucy Porter returns to the Studio with Let Yourself Go.

For those looking to keep children entertained, there’s The Dinosaur That Pooped a Rock Show, The Space Explorers Academy will transport young space fans to Jupiter, Saturn and beyond, while Fireman Sam and the Lost Pirate Treasure brings clues, pirate songs and plenty of swashbuckling adventure.

The family fun continues as the Outdoor Theatre Season with The Adventures of Peter Rabbit, offering a unique spin on the beloved classic tales with a cast of professional and community actors. The award-winning Illyria return to the Amphitheatre with As You Like It, The Three Musketeers and The Pirates of Penzance and completing the season are two more Shakespearean favourites, The Comedy of Errors and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
