Two further stars, including a real ‘beauty’ have just been announced for The Capitol Horsham’s Beauty and The Beast pantomime this year.
Olly Pike, who starred in last year’s pantomime Cinderella as the incredibly endearing and ever-so-slightly ditzy ‘Dandini’ will return this year to play DC.
Olly is well known for starring as Wiley Sneak in CBBC’s popular children’s TV series – Trapped as well as other TV shows including Trafalgar 200, playing Young Nelson; Feasters commercial The Royal Variety Show 2008 and he has presented for schools with i-Catcher .
Since last year’s Cinderella, Olly has continued to produce episodes of ‘Pop’n’Olly’ – a YouTube Channel focusing on equality, diversity and creativity for children aged 4-7. One particular episode ‘Prince Henry’ has recently been turned into a book and iBook.
Olly said:
“Having had such a great time in Cinderella, I can’t wait to return to The Capitol to work with some of the old team and I’m sure my new character will be totes amazing!”
Zoe Adkin who played Cinderella at The Capitol in 2014 is returning to the stage this year to play Beauty.
She is very excited to be returning to Horsham to play the role and be united with what she described as “the most incredible team.”
Since her appearance as Cinderella in Horsham last year, Zoe was cast in ‘Consider Yourself’, a film looking back at the life of Lionel Bart, who composed the ever-popular musical Oliver, working with Choreographer Jonathan Butterell. She also continues to teach dance to children across London.
Beauty and The Beast is at The Capitol from 11 December 2015 until 3 January 2016.
