Apollo Theatre Company presents
JUST SO STORIES
Saturday 1 November 11am & 2pm In The Studio
“I believe we’ve found out the big secret of the world…”
Come, oh best-beloved and see how the elephant’s trunk, the leopard’s spots and the camel’s hump were made. Using live music, puppetry and just a little bit of magic, Apollo Theatre Company tackles Rudyard Kipling’s best beloved tales.
In this delightful collection of fables, venture into the High and Far-Off Times and uncover the mysteries of how everything came to be.
Renowned for his works of friction for children, Kipling’s stories are adapted for the stage and directed by Lucy Betts, with music by David Perkins.
Lucy explains why Apollo Theatre Company are relishing the opportunity to bring these classic tales to the stage: “As a new adaptation, the group have a lot of creative freedom. We are telling six of the most famous Just So stories, travelling under the sea, across the high plains of the African savannah and deep into the rainforest in just an hour”
After recent successes, including Our Town, Keep the Home Fires Burning and Carrie’s War, Apollo Theatre Company tackle Rudyard Kipling’s best-loved stories, taking us on a fascinating journey back to where it all began.
