How Very Hannah
Corn Exchange – Brighton Dome
7th November 2025
Hannah Lowther has many strings to her bow, from Tesco Worker to viral Tiktok sensation. She has recently turned her hand to hosting her very own ‘stagey’ podcast, entitled ‘How Very Hannah’ and this is what she has taken on the road for this 5-date tour.
The show at the Corn Exchange is the penultimate date of her tour, following the podcast format each venues offering varies from the last with different guests and songs being performed each night. As the title of the show suggests it focuses on Hannah’s experiences as both a child star in the West End and more recent castings in fan favourites Heathers and Six the musical. I was curious as to how a podcast format would work within a theatre setting, what I experienced was a uniquely fun and uplifting 2 hours which involved lots of audience participation. Much to the joy of the many tweens and teens in attendance.
From Lip sync battles to singing along to Hannah’s signature ‘Outfit of the day’ this was a fabulous night in which she invited the audience to learn more about life as a musical theatre star. The special guest of the night was fellow child star and West End performer Rob Madge, whom Hannah had stared alongside in the child cast of Oliver at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane. Not surprisingly given the duration of their friendship, conversation between the two flowed naturally but without ever leaving the audience feeling out of the loop. The two of them even engaged in some ‘improv’ which was directed by words that selected members of the audience had chosen for them as the inspiration for their short piece of drama.
At just under 2 hours long including an interval this was somewhat short and snappy, but it was certainly packed full of variety and left the audience wanting more. Using the show as a platform to advertise her other endeavours Hannah staged a quiz between Rob and her other guest Tori Lowther (Hannahs younger sister) using questions from her recently published book ‘Les Quizerables’ with a ‘Who wants to be a Millionaire’ vibe by providing lifelines for any tough questions.
My favourite part of the show was when Hannah and her sister performed a duet from Wicked. Because I knew you’, appropriately colour coded green and pink in their attire. The two sisters’ voices blended beautifully, and it was really touching to see them perform together, particularly given that it has been 5 years since her sister has performed on stage. Which as an audience member you would not have known had you not been advised of this.
Overall, this was a fabulous to stage translation of Hannahs podcast show, whilst best suited to those already familiar with the podcast and Hannahs Tiktok journey, this was still accessible and enjoyable to accompanying parents and friends.
