REOPENING SUMMER SEASON 2021


The E. M. Forster Theatre is delighted to be reopening and cannot wait to wait to welcome audiences back to enjoy live performances once again. Safety is obviously paramount, and you can read about all of the safety measures in place at the theatre here.

There is a fun packed programme of events scheduled, kicking off with a live stream of a new comedy about anxiety disorders on Saturday 15th May 7.30pm EVERYTHING IS ABSOLUTELY FINE – LIVE STREAM ONLINE PERFORMANCE


TONBRIDGE COMEDY NIGHT takes to the stage on Fri 21st May with Zoe Lyons (Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week, The Now Show) and on Fri 18th June with Stuart Goldsmith and Erich McElroy. Russell Hicks comperes both evenings.


Shining the spotlight on a number of local professional artists celebrating what singing, dancing and music means to them with SING ONSTAGE: LIVE Sat 29th May) and DANCE ONSTAGE: LIVE (Sun 30th May)


42ND STREET  – CINEMA SCREENING (10th June) The Tony® Award-winning musical filmed live at the magnificent Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, in the heart of London’s West End.


Comedy drama ACCORDING TO HOYLE is being performed Thursday 24th and Friday 25th June,. A powerful play about male friendship in which five old friends meet regularly to play poker at Chris’s flat. Will this be the final game?


Further into June there is Macbeth performed by a 4 piece female troupe, Dance with Ballet Central, Sarah & Duck’s Big Top Birthday for our younger theatrego-ers, an outdoor family show called Run Wild and an Oscar Wilde favourite, The Importance of being Ernest!
