Dead Leaves is written and directed by Bradley Barlow. Hi is a graduate of the University of Chichester and has been writing, directing and performing for many years. In 2009 he directed The Family for Archway Theatre in Horley, his debut as a writer. The following year the play was produced by Dorking Dramatic and Operatic Society where it won an Accolade of Excellence from the National Operatic and Dramatic Association. In the same year Bradley performed with Pitchy Breath for the first time in Mokita.
In 2011 Bradley wrote 143 Seconds for Pitchy Breath exploring the return of a teenage girl to a family following her disappearance as a baby. Dead Leaves is Bradley’s third play and is based on the concept of centring the play around a character the audience doesn’t meet, encouraging them to form their own opinions based on the evidence of the play’s other characters. With strong language and adult themes, the author has conducted thorough research to ensure the play is as factually accurate as possible.
