Sam Hiller, who lives in East Grinstead, has appeared in many West End Musicals including The Phantom of the Opera, My Fair Lady, Miss Saigon, Les Misérables, Aspects of Love, wrote the A-Z of Musical Theatre 15 years ago as a charity concert and has raised over £100,000 for local charities across the south of England. “We usually perform the concert around 3 times a year for charitable organisations and audience response has been brilliant. Bringing West End performers to the provinces is the key. I had a call from producer Nick Wilson who I had previously worked with before, asking if I was interested in developing the A-Z. So along with my wife Naomi Cobby and Stevie Higgins we devised the show in its current format. It is about a group of actors at a rehearsal exploring the world of musical theatre from A-Z. It is humorous, emotive and of course full of wonderful songs.”

An A-Z of Musical Theatre comes to The Hawth Crawley on Sunday 5 October for a 7:30pm performance. Tickets, priced £19.50 (discounts: £18) are available from The Hawth Box Office on 01293 553636 or online at www.hawth.co.uk.
