The warmer weather and lighter evenings signal the start of summer, and preparations are well underway at the Hever Festival Theatre to get the outdoor covered theatre and beautiful gardens in the grounds of Hever Castle ready for the Summer Festival 2016.

 

The programme this year is as exciting and diverse as ever with something for every age and taste, and with the opportunity to picnic in the stunning grounds before an evening of top quality entertainment, it really is the perfect way to spend a summer’s evening.

 

The season kicks off in spectacular style on Sunday 28th May with The Magic of the Bee Gees, featuring all of the Bee Gees million-selling hits this fantastic live concert show ensures the legacy of the Gibb brothers is well and truly stayin’ alive! Funny man Hal Cruttenden livens up the evening on Sunday 29th May with his rants about the real evils of the modern world – the more he complains the funnier he gets!

 

For those looking for something to entertain the children during the Half term break on 1st & 2nd June, Illyria presents a magnificent, funny and heart-warming new adaptation of Roald Dahl’s Danny The Champion of the World.  The first week of the season is rounded off with the ever popular and truly incredible smash hit show Magic of Motown on Friday 3rd June, plus a treat for all Musicals fans, The Best Musicals Ever! performed by six West End performers and live band on Sunday 5th June.

 

In July and August there is a full programme of plays, musical entertainment, family shows, opera, jazz, comedy and a week of cinema under the stars. Highlights include One Man, Two Guvnors, The Ronnie Scott’s All Stars, Peter Pan, Ruddigore, The Simon & Garfunkel Story, Russell Kane and many more.
