Top Theatre Picks in the South East | June 2015

What an incredible month we have ahead of us in the South East this month! There is some great drama and musical entertainment.

Musical Picks

Kicking it all off next week is Avenue Q at the Assembly Halls Theatre in Tunbridge Wells (1st-6th June). If you have been reading this blog you will know that Avenue Q is one of my guilty pleasures. I have seen it several times and was lucky enough last month to spend a day on Avenue Q and chat to new cast members Richard Lowe, Sarah Harlington and director Cressida Carré. If you haven’t seen these puppets in action I urge you to see this show!

If naughty puppets are not your scene, you may just want to spend a Spring Day in the lovely city of Canterbury and see another of my favourite musicals Barnum at the Marlowe Theatre, the story of showman Phineas T Barnum, this show stars Brian Conley and Linzi Hateley and is full of circus tricks, acrobatics and fun.

One of the stars Verity Rushworth has recently landed a ‘Soap Award’ for her role in Emmerdale, will will have an exclusive interview with her on Theatre South East very soon. Another gripping drama which will have us on the edge of our seats is Twelve Angry Men also at the Fairfield Hall (8th-13th June).

At Theatre South East we aim to promote theatrical plays, musicals and family shows from many theatres throughout London and the South East. Please visit www.theatresoutheast.com to find out what’s on and where as well as news, reviews and interviews!
